Our Range of Services

Each treatment we offer is tailored to meet the client’s needs. There are different types of massage techniques available, depending on the condition being treated.

Our commonly used techniques include:

Swedish Massage

One of the most commonly offered styles of massage. A very relaxing style of massage using oil or lotion. Pressure is applied to the muscles in a variety of long strokes and kneading movements.

Myofascial Release

A technique used to reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, and improve posture and mobility. Fascia is the connective tissue that helps to support and protect the structures in the body. Every muscle is surrounded by a fascial sheath and it is the fascia that ultimately determines the length and function of its muscular component. Myofascial Release uses pressure that targets these fascial structures in order to reduce tension. It is a technique that takes a whole body approach to treatment and recognizes that symptoms in one region of the body may result from, and benefit from relief of, tissue restriction in another region of the body.

Trigger Point Release

Trigger Points are painful irritable spots, usually in a taut band of muscle or fascia. These points can refer pain locally or to another area of the body. Trigger points can be caused by postural stresses such as sleeping position or workplace posture, or by acute injury or scar tissue. Trigger point release is a technique of releasing muscle tension by applying direct pressure to a trigger point.

Deep Tissue

Similar to Swedish and other massage techniques but applied with a higher pressure in order to penetrate deeper into the muscle tissue.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics. Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel - practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Joint Mobilization

A type of slow, passive movement of a skeletal joint in order to achieve a therapeutic benefit of reducing pain or increasing mobility.

Stretching

Stretching can be applied within the massage either passively or with participation of the patient/ client. Stretching is used to reduce muscle tension and increase range of motion.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage incorporates safe and effective massage techniques and body positioning to treat aches and pains during pregnancy.

Massage therapy can be a safe and effective treatment to relieve pain, but you do not have to be in pain to benefit from treatment. Regular massage therapy is an excellent part of a health maintenance program. By decreasing stress on both a psychological and physiological level, it helps the body attain a state that is less prone to disease and injury.
