  • Massage therapy offers extensive physical and mental health benefits, including reduced muscle tension, pain relief, improved circulation, and enhanced flexibility. It can also decrease stress, support anxiety management and promote relaxation.

  • Clients usually undress to their lower undergarment and are covered by the table linens. Only the part of the body being worked on will be exposed and the rest of the body remains covered at all times.

    We can always work with peoples comfort levels if they prefer to remain clothed. The most important thing is that you are comfortable.

  • That depends on a the type of massage, and your tolerance.

    If we are working on an area that has been injured or there is a lot of tension or adhesions or scar tissue it can be uncomfortable or painful to have it worked on.

    Usually we are aiming for the pain that feels kind of good or relieving. The kind that you can breath through and doesn’t make you hold our breath.

    In any case we ask ask that you let us know your preference and definitely let us know if anything feels too painful or intense! We can always find a more tolerable way to work on a painful area.

  • That depends. If you have had an injury or are trying to make some improvements with a chronic issue it is helpful to have a few consecutive treatments within a shorter time period.

    Also, if you are using massage for stress management during a time of increased stress it can be beneficial to book more frequent appointments.

    You are welcome to book even if you are not injured or are just dealing with every day aches and pains. Usually people find that having regular appointments from time to time can help to manage everyday aches and pains.

  • No, although at some places tips are accepted for massage we consider our treatment healthcare and do not accept tips.

  • Yes, of course! Your therapist will check in with you for feedback and to make sure you are comfortable, but otherwise it is totally up to you. Feel free to talk, or allow yourself to be quiet and drift off.
